Sue Linja, RDN, LD

Sue Linja is an RDN with a passion for nutrition and aging. Sue has been a business owner for over 3 decades, working in healthcare communities in 12 states and employing over 60 registered dietitians (95% women).  She is an author and sought-after speaker, most recently in the areas of living to 100, International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI) and Alzheimer’s prevention through the foods we eat.  Sue hopes to age gracefully, reaching her 100th birthday by maintaining close relationships, eating a mostly plant-based diet and drinking fine wine.

Past Chair
Rena Zelig, DCN, RDN, CSG, CDE

Rena is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition program at the Rutgers School of Health Professions. She is a CSG and CDCES with 15+ years of experience working with older adults in post-acute, long-term, and extended-care settings and in private practice. Her practice focuses on malnutrition prevention and treatment and diabetes and cardiometabolic disease management and prevention through heart-healthy living.

Kim Fremont, MSEd, RD, LD

Kim has been involved in healthcare and long-term care for over 39 years. Kim is the Senior Vice President of Health Technologies overseeing consulting services to over 1300 client facilities in 18 states and 150 RD’s. Kim’s has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Dietetics from the University of Illinois at the Medical Center, Chicago and a Master of Science in Education and Instructional Technology from Southern Illinois at Edwardsville.

Libby Reynolds-Johnson, MBA, RDN, LD/CD

Libby Reynolds, MBA, RDN, LD is a consultant dietitian with S&S Nutrition Network, Inc., where she provides nutrition consulting services to Long Term Care and Assisted Living Facilities throughout Washington and Oregon. Libby is currently serving as the Conference Chair for the Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Libby resides in the Yakima Valley where she plans to continue to learn, grow and educate within the dietetic and long-term care fields.

Cora Martin, RDN, LD

Cora has 35+ years experience in the Post-Acute/Long-Term Care as President of Dietetic Associates, Inc, in NE Ohio. She is a former Chair of DHCC and has served on the Transitions in Care Clinical Practice Guide Workgroup of The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, Executive Board of Ohio Consultant Dietitians in Health Care Facilities, and Preceptor/Proctor for numerous Dietetic Internship Programs. She is a Certified Pastry Chef and enjoys meatless meal preparation.

Dana Fillmore, RD

DANA FILLMORE, RDN, received her BS in Dietetics from Eastern Michigan University. She is the Healthcare Marketing Manager for Gordon Food Service where she provides industry guidance shaping sales and marketing strategy within the healthcare and senior living segments, assuring relevant products, tools and solutions to meet customer business needs. Dana has served in various capacities for national nutrition and foodservice industry associations, including Past Chair for DHCC, Delegate at Large for the ANFP, and Business Partner Director for Michigan Association of Healthcare Foodservice.

Katie Chevalier, RD, CSG

With 12 years of experience in the Long-Term Care field as both a Clinical Dietitian and a Director of Nutrition Services, Katie has gained invaluable experience taking care of the population we serve. In 2011. Katie changed paths and now works with HPSI as the National Menu Director supporting dietary managers all over the country.

Pamela Brummit, MA, RD, LD

Pam is the Founder of Brummit & Associates, Inc. She has presented over 50 programs for national and state meetings. Taught the Dietary Managers course and ServSafe for 30 years. Written/co-written over 15 manuals related to long term care. Held more than 20 board positions in local, state and national dietetic associations. Pam is the recipient of multiple awards, including Oklahoma Outstanding RDN of the Year and the Consultant Dietitian of the Year, Ball State University Distinguished Alumni and the ANFP Legacy Award.

Heather L. Di Stefano, MS, RDN, CSG, CNSC, NWCC

Heather Di Stefano has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) for more than 16 years. She is the founder and owner of Practical Nutrition LLC, a thriving insurance-based private practice based in Arlington, Texas. Heather is an accomplished clinician with experience working in many settings, including privately owned hospitals and government establishments at local and national levels. She holds specialty certifications in gerontological nutrition, nutrition support, and nutrition and wound care.

Cynthia Wolfram, RDN, LD, FAND

Cynthia Wolfram, RDN, LD, FAND is Operations Advisor for Dietitians for Health Care, a 57+ year old company employing dietitians to serve residents/patients/clients in PA/LTC setting, providing support for the clinical and food service needs of the communities.  Cynthia has 20+ years' experience serving seniors in the communities we serve.  She has served in multiple areas in the Academy, most recently on the Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation Board.  Cynthia supports dietetic interns, encouraging all to work in PA/LTC.  Free time is enjoyed with gardening, jam making and knitting.

Coreyann Poly Geracie, PhD, RDN, LDN, CDE, CMES

Coreyann Poly Geracie, PhD, RDN/LDN, CDCES, ACE-CMES has over 25 years of experience in clinical nutrition and food service in the community and extended care settings. She works for Simplified Nutrition Online menu/meal ticket software solutions used in healthcare communities. In addition, she has a successful private practice and continues to work in a small LTC community. She created the website www.donediet.org and authored “Diet & Dining Manual for Extended Care in Culture Change Environment”. She is a certified medical exercise trainer as well as diabetic educator.

Linda Roberts MS RD is president of Linda Roberts & Associates an award-winning consulting firm providing dietitian consulting to long-term care.  Linda was DHCC Chair 2008-2009. She was a member of the Pioneer Network’s Food & Dining Clinical Standards Task Force & collaborator of the Pioneer Network New Dining Practice Standards 2011. In 2017 Linda was awarded the Academy’s Excellence in Practice Business & Consulting. Linda graduated from LSU with both a Bachelor and Master of Science degree.

Corrections Subunit Chair
Laura Bain, PhD, MBA, RDN

Laura recently received her PhD in Management in Dietetics at Kansas State University. She has worked in the Georgia and Utah prison systems as part of the medical and food service management teams to provide nutrition support and over 150,000 meals daily. Her doctoral research focused on describing the nutritional state of prison menus across the country to build a foundation for corrections food and nutrition policy.

Ellen Turk was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. She has worked with S & S Nutrition for the past 9 years as a registered dietitian providing consulting services in Las Vegas, Nevada and the surrounding area. She lives in Henderson with her husband and three dogs. She loves watching sports, playing fantasy football, gardening, and cooking.

Alison Duffey, MS, RDN, CSG, LDN, FAND

Alison has over 28 years of experience in long-term, skilled nursing, and post-acute food and nutrition.  She has lived in southwest Florida for 23 years and takes every opportunity to enjoy year-round outdoor living.  She is a passionate advocate for our profession and serves on the Academy's Committee for Lifelong Learning and the Foundation's Scholarship Review Committee.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her significant other, Landon, and spending time with their 19-year old puppy, Ferdi.

Tawnee Cunningham, MS, RDN, CSG, LDN

Tawnee Cunningham, MS RDN CSG LDN, is a Pittsburgh-based dietitian. She has worked with older adults in a variety of settings, including clinical, community, and research, but long-term care is her passion. In her free time she enjoys baking bread and training her two dogs, Short Stack and Pringle.

Phyllis J. Famularo, DCN, RD, LDN, FAND

Phyllis serves as a Senior Manager of Nutrition Services for Sodexo Seniors’ and works with the older adult population nutrition in the Northeast. Her primary duties include training of dietitians and regulatory compliance.

She is an RDN with a doctorate in clinical nutrition from Rutgers. She serves on the editorial advisory board of Caring for the Ages, a newsletter of the American Medical Directors Association, and a board member of the DHCC of New Jersey.

She enjoys mentoring RDNs and helping them achieve career aspirations and resides in New Jersey.
